THE CSR SOCIETY is an independent membership organisation for companies that use their commercial advantage and privileged position in society to support the communities they serve; develop the potential of their colleagues; engage in charitable activities; and generally and genuinely want to have a positive, beneficial impact on the world.
The CSR Society is an independent, international, non-profit, non-political membership group launched in 2024 and dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting Corporate Social Responsibility best practice around the world.
The CSR Society is like a twin sister to The Green Organisation, which began in 1994.
The Green Organisation also offers membership and awards, and it is dedicated to expanding environmental best practice around the world.
When companies started asking The Green Organisation to launch an award scheme to recognise their efforts in Corporate Social Responsibility, they agreed to do so because of the strong environmental element in CSR.
But as the CSR movement has grown and produces a wide range of social benefits not confined to the environment, it became obvious that we needed to give it a life of its own.
So we are using the 30 years of experience gained in successfully running The Green Organisation to bring you:
